Porsche Added a Special Convertible Cayenne to its Museum

Porsche added a new display to its Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, a special-edition Cayenne convertible from the early 2000s. The original hardtop Cayenne launched in 2002, and soon after, Porsche created a modified convertible concept for the vehicle. However, this version was never officially launched to the public market. As such, the vehicle exists today as a standalone one-off.

Porsche announced that its one-off Cayenne convertible will be added to the Porsche Museum, preserving the historical design. According to the German automaker, the convertible was never fully realized due to concerns with profitability, citing that the design was too awkward to appeal to a mass market.

Aside from the convertible rooftop, this special-edition Cayenne has several noteworthy design features, such as an asymmetrical, split rear bumper and misaligned taillights.
