Utz Purchased a 125,000-Square-Foot Pork Rind Production Plant

Utz Brands Inc announced the acquisition of a 125,000-square-foot pork rind plant from Evans Food Group. The plant is newly constructed and is designed primarily for the production of CPG pork rinds. Evans Food Group, which works under Benestar Brands, will work with Utz as a material supplier for the facility. With this large-scale facility, Utz will begin the widespread manufacturing of modern pork rind foods.

While the facility is currently completed at a size of 125,000 square feet, Utz has released details surrounding its development that specifically outline the factory's expansion capabilities. Utz clarified that the facility can be expanded to a size of up to 200,000 square feet. The brand intends to expand this facility in the future as it brings more of its product manufacturing processes over to the new facility. Essentially, Utz will transform the modern pork rind plant into a full-scale food production facility.
