Haute Horror Movie Editorials

Max Farago Captures Avery Tharp for POP Magazine Spring/Summer 2014

This POP Magazine Spring/Summer 2014 fashion shoot kind of looks like something out of a 70s horror movie.

Fashion photographer Max Farago captures this slightly creepy style story with either the desert, a marble room or a concrete street corner in the background. Model Avery Tharp looks overly innocent, which is a bit concerning, considering the shot of her underwear. Her long, light brown hair hangs loose, and on her eyes there is some soft brown shadow.

All the garments in this POP Magazine Spring/Summer 2014 editorial spread are from designer label Paco Rabanne. Gray skirts, white tops and even an all-leather look that one could see a working girl wearing adds edge to this weird pictorial story. When first seeing the photographs, one might look at the close-ups of Tharp and be a little uncomfortable, but when you see the birds flying around her in one shot, everything goes into full blow horror territory.
