Pollara Pizzeria is giving customers a whole new way to enjoy two classic Italian street food dish with its new Carbonara Fritti.
Pollara Pizzeria is a popular Roman-style slice house located in Berkeley, California. Recently, the Italian restaurant decided to take two beloved dishes—arancini and suppli—up a notch with the debut of an innovative new dish dubbed Carbonara Fritti. The unbelievably cheesy little appetizer consists of guanciale (cured pork cheeks) combined with a creamy carbonara sauce, pasta, and cheese, all wrapped inside a deep-fried shell. The result is something similar to arancini, but with the creamy taste of carbonara. Best of all, the deep-fried pasta balls are perfectly snackable, so you can enjoy one or two on the go.
