Many people around the world become anxious when leaders like Donald Trump send out their thoughts on social media because of the problems they can cause, so the 'Political Lamp' is designed as a thoughtful way to visualize them.
The lamp is the design work of France-based designer Fabien Bouchard (AKA Parse Error), founder of the Ufunk online magazine, and is designed to detect when a tweet goes out from a chosen account. This could be connected to political leaders like Donald Trump who have a history of causing a ruckus on social media or others who are simply known for stirring up controversy.
The 'Political Lamp' responds to tweets by creating the effects of a real thunderstorm to correlate what's brewing on social media to real world events.
