Nintendo Unveiled Two New Open-World Mainline Pokémon Games

Nintendo has unveiled two new Pokémon games, 'Pokémon Scarlet,' and 'Pokémon Violet.' These games will be part of the 9th generation of Pokémon games, making them the first mainline Pokémon games since 2019's 'Pokémon Sword' and 'Pokémon Shield.' Scarlet and Violet, though, will feature a seamless open-world for players to explore, as well as over one hundred new Pokémon to collect.
While last month's 'Pokémon Legends: Arceus' also featured an open world, this world was separated into several disconnected large areas that users would need to load between. This time, though, Nintendo has stated that the world will feature "various towns with no borders blend seamlessly into the wilderness," meaning the game will have a very smooth experience.
Nintendo announced that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will release near the end of 2022, likely during the holiday season, making these games an excellent gift for Pokémon fans and children alike.
