Abstract and sculptural, the Poise Chair is meant to speak to individuals in different ways. Some may see topographical formations while others may see egg yolks. Whatever the case may be, the overall impression of the Poise Chair is something in line with a Rorschach inkblot, if in a more organic way.
Designed by Louw Roets, the Poise Chair was "inspired by the design philosophy of Isamu Noguchi where 'Everything is sculpture,' as written on his website. Focusing on the manifestation of 'grace and balance' as signified by its name, the sculptural seat also exudes a sense of composure that denotes self-confidence.
The Poise Chair is made out of timber treated with Teak timber oil and genuine kudu leather for cushioning.
