The Play Work Build exhibition revolves around a fun interactive installation geared towards children. Chock full of blue blocks in all different shapes and sizes, visitors are invited to build whatever they like with them. An accompanying massive shelving unit also provides 2,300 architectural and construction games to play with while documenting the history of such toys.
Designed by David Rockwell, an architect who is known for envisioning luxury hotels and homes around the world, the Play Work Build exhibition is an extension of his venture into playgrounds after becoming a dad. Revolutionizing such structures by inspiring creativity and self-directed play, his Imagination Playgrounds have since been installed in 600 locations worldwide.
Play Work Build is currently on display at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.
