Plastic stools have become a commonplace item to find in the home but aren't exactly eco-friendly given their composition, so the 'Plastic Translation Stool' is intended to offer an alternative.

Designed by Antoine Laboria, the stool has a carved construction that is inspired by conventional plastic alternatives that are achieved using thermoforming. The stool has a series of soft lines and honed edges to give it a softer appearance in comparison to plastic models, but with a form that could be recycled or repurposed after use.

The 'Plastic Translation Stool' is constructed using birch plywood buttresses to distribute the weight evenly between the four beechwood legs. Wooden joinery is used to give the stool a unified appearance.
