This strikingly contemporary plant-covered office is located in Natters, Austria. The building is intended to house the open-plan headquarters for ASI Reisen—a sustainability-minded travel company—and beloved design studio Snøhetta was commissioned to overhaul the functionality and aesthetics of the space.
The plant-covered office was envisioned in a way that minimizes its environmental footprint. This is done through the incorporation of renewable energy technologies and material use. The architects sought out to "contribute to local biodiversity" as best they can and as a result, created a lush green exterior for the building. The interior layout of the plant-covered office, on the other hand, ensures "flexibility and a light, open environment" that will encourage collaboration between teams.
