The 'PinaTrilhos' App Tests Users on Their Knowledge of Art and Travel

The 'PinaTrilhos' app is an interactive game that turns the São Paulo train system into a engaging game based around museum trivia. The app was developed by F/Nazca under the request of The Pinacoteca art gallery of São Paulo, Brazil. The art gallery hopes that the game will give people a fun incentive to travel to the museum and will also engage players in their knowledge on art in an entertaining and accessible way. The PinaTrilhos app is currently available for free on iOS and Android platforms.

The gameplay of PinaTrilhos is fairly simple as players just need to answer questions while on the way to the museum. To being the game, players must first take a photo of the station signboard closes to them, this allows the app to generate the best route to Pinacoteca station.Before players can advance to the next station they must answer a true-or-false question about the artwork at the museum. Each time an answer is correctly answered players can the move onto the next station on the route. Arriving at the museum serves as the games top prize though the museum hopes players will feel rewarded by discovering interesting facts about the artwork.
