'Pillar of Dreams' is the name of an aluminum pavilion in Charlotte, North Carolina. Positioned in the grassy area of the Valerie C Woodard Center, the bubbly structure definitely makes a statement.
New York City-based studio The Very Many create the sculpture to be eight meters high. The silhouette presents nine hollow legs, a perforated and layered thin aluminum facade, blue hues on the outside and soft pink nuances on the inside. The orbs come together and the effect is reminiscent of light clouds or even balloons.
'Pillar of Dreams' makes for a wonderful public sculpture that opens avenues for play, admiration, as well as a plentitude of photo opportunities, whilst infusing the Valerie C Woodard Center with a dose of creativity.
