In collaboration with 3D printing company Prusa Research, Philips launched Philips Fixables to share 3D-printable spare parts, creative upgrades and more. As part of this collab, Philips Fixables dropped a downloadable file with instructions for making a OneBlade 1-3mm comb in a recommended material like PLA. Made to suit several Philips OneBlade models, this comb attachment adds value to devices, making it easier to replace parts as needed without sending the whole unit to landfill.
Movements that encourage product repair are gaining momentum, and companies are responding with resources to empower users to fix their devices themselves, promoting sustainability and reducing the need for constant replacements. This 3D-printed replacement part is just one design from a planned set of broader library of printable parts set to be shared soon via Philips Fixables.
