Slovenia-based startup AmblyoPlay has pioneered a subscription-based technology that is geared to assist people with lazy eye—scientifically known as 'amblyopia.' The condition causes "the vision of one [...] eye [to be] reduced because the eye and the brain are not working together properly." The service is also useful for those living with convergence insufficiency, diplopia, and strabismus.
AmblyoPlay provides therapeutic services to consumers by prompting them to play engaging and medical professional-approved games. The training program consists of two daily sessions of 15-minute playtime. In addition, the service can be customized to the user's needs, while the fact that it can be executed from the comfort of one's home contributes to convenience and affordability. Developed for use by kids, the digital experience allows you to earn rewards that will be physically sent to your home.
