Intelligent Ink Pens

The 'Pen+ Ellipse' is Compatible with Moleskine's Smart Writing Set

Digital note-taking has clear benefits over physical writing, but it still hasn't surpassed the unlimited potential of freehand, and the new Pen+ Ellipse from Moleskine lets consumers get the best of both worlds. The ink pen doubles as a digital tool, allowing users to write their notes physically and them upload them on to an app for use digitally.

The Pen+ Ellipse is the second generation of the Pen+, which was originally released as part of Moleskine's Smart Writing Set. As with the previous iteration, the new pen senses the ink on the page thanks to specially textured pages, and it logs that information as users write. It's then easy to search through Moleskine's app and find those notes in the Moleskine Paper Tablet or Smart Planner, ultimately harmonizing the physical and the digital.
