The UK's Foot-Operated Patrol Cars are Utterly Ridiculous

What's the UK's newest police aid? The pedal-powered police car, which is relatively useless and looks more like something you'd push your baby in than a scare tactic against future criminals.
Nonetheless, the UK always tends to have weird and eccentric versions of whatever is popular in the US, and this pedal-powered police car is no exception. I think they're trying to be eco-friendly and set a good example, but how is it even possible to catch crooks and criminals by pedaling a Flintstones-esque car? It's completely hilarious--and something only the British would do.
