Corrugated Bird Sculptures

These Paper Birds by Artist Diana Beltran Herrera are Hyperrealistic

Talented artist Diana Beltran Herrera's hyperrealistic sculptures of paper birds are simply breathtaking to look at. Each bird is so incredibly lifelike it's hard to believe these avian sculptures aren't about to take off and fly into the sky.

Herrera's bird sculptures are so believable because each piece is extremely detailed. The avian sculptures vary in size and shape as some birds are calmly perched and others in mid-air ready to take flight. Each of the bird's lifelike features are made from a series of intricately folded pieces of technicolor paper. The paper is stacked to create the layered look of feathers. Herrera's collection includes a corrugated cardinal, red belied woodpecker, kingfisher, American robin, yellowthroat warbler and an eastern meadowlark to name a few.
