Enraptured by art in motion, photographer Fabian Oefner sends paint flying in his paint splatter series entitled 'Black Hole.' Using centrifugal force to his advantage, Oefner built a simple contraption that has a spinning drill bit going through a black backdrop.

Applying wet paint in different colors along the drill and then turning it on in front of a long-exposure camera creates a special effect of swirled color, seemingly twisting and coiling through space. Splashing paint in all directions may seem completely uncontrollable with an unpredictable outcome, yet the photographer has perfected the technique, looking for action-shots rather than the end result of paint on canvas.

Physics and art work together, creating magic in the 'Black Hole' paint splatter photography series.
