Pop Culture Owl Illustrations

These Drawings Imagine Pop Culture Characters as Adorable Owls

This series of owl illustrations by Polish Illustrator Magdalena Ruta playfully reimagines several iconic characters and superheroes in the artists unique avian drawing style.

Pop culture characters like 'Batman,' 'Darth Vader' and oddly enough the actual ring from 'Lord of the Rings' have all been made over into adorably ball-shaped owls. The series of owl illustrations has been titled 'Sowulka' by the artist. The name itself comes from the combination of the Polish words "sowa" and "kulka" which translates to english as "owl" and "ball."

The creative approach by Ruta towards these pop culture characters seems unusual when you first hear the premise, but once actually executed results in a humorous and lighthearted interpretation of these much beloved characters.
