The Outline Tray reinterprets the classic desk organizer by removing the bottom. It is made up of only a thin border that provides a strict perimeter around such items as pencils, paper clips and pins to reside. The only thing that the Outline Tray doesn't allow for is easy transference to another surface. A person is essentially sacrificing a bit of functionality for cool aesthetics.
Designed by Japanese studio Nendo, the Outline Tray can be likened to art frames for the desk. They can even be arranged as paintings would be on a wall. Although the bottom could be useful when cleaning the surface of the table, the versatile Outline Tray itself is easy to clean.
