Sensorial Projection Mapping Experiences

Biltmore's Luminere is an Outdoor Sensory Experience

Biltmore has launched a new evening attraction called Luminere, an outdoor sensory experience that uses projection mapping, custom lighting, and an original musical score to transform the historic grounds of the Asheville estate on select nights through October 18, 2026.

Developed in collaboration with the experiential design studio Klip Collective, the self-guided route takes visitors through different areas — including the Biltmore House, formal gardens, the Conservatory, and a treescape. Each location on the outdoor sensory experience itinerary boasts seasonal light installations and cinematic projections that draw on the estate’s history and the Vanderbilt family’s legacy.

Luminere marks the estate’s first large-scale original evening event outside of its traditional holiday programming and includes optional culinary add-ons such as pre-ordered picnics, as well as a guided tour focusing on the family’s art collection.
