If Google searches were any indication of who was going to take home the Oscar awards, then the Oscar winners would know ahead of time. It makes sense though and is a great way to determine how relevant and how much of an impression the film is making on audiences everywhere.

The Internet tells us everything so why wouldn't it be able to predict the winner? The Academy Awards will take place on March 2 and if the winners were determined by search popularity on Google you can already imagine who is taking home the prize. Google is predicting the Oscar winners based on which nominees were the most-searched in their categories.

It comes as no surprise that The Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle take home almost every Oscar prize according to Google searches. You never know, maybe Google is on to something.
