This month, experimental opera collective 'Liederwölfe' will be hosting an interactive event called 'Opera Peep Show.' The event is designed to give classic opera a modern makeover by making the performances more interactive for audience members.
Opera Peep Show will take place between April 28th and April 30th at Toronto's Campbell House Museum. Unlike a traditional opera performance, the event is set up as an interactive party where guests travel from room to room experiencing each mini opera. These "bite-sized moments of opera" are crafted by four Toronto indie opera companies, giving guests a wide range of performances to sample. Because the event is organized according to a pay-as-you-go format, participants can choose their own personalized opera experience.
The event turns classic opera on its head by giving audience members a more unique way to experience each performance.
