Uber has teamed up with Olo, an on-demand commerce platform geared towards the restaurant industry, to integrate Uber Direct technology into Olo's delivery fulfillment solution, Dispatch. The integration aims to make Uber's efficient delivery technology more accessible to restaurants while also offering additional alcohol delivery support.
"By expanding our Olo engagement on Dispatch, we can provide merchants with new solutions as the demand—and opportunity—for digital ordering and delivery continue to grow," said Pooja Daftary, head of Uber Direct, in a recent press release.
The new integration will provide a seamless solution for restaurants looking to streamline their delivery procedures. Moreover, it will offer a new avenue for alcohol delivery -- a burgeoning space in its own right that restaurants will indeed be looking to capitalize on.
