Old Elk Distillery is announcing the limited national release of its Cigar Cut Island Blend, building on the success of the original Cigar Cut. The Cigar Cut Island Blend arrives as a part of the Old Elk's Cask Finish Series, incorporating the brand's foundational whiskeys, including the High-Malt Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Straight Rye Whiskey, and Straight Wheat Whiskey.
What sets this whiskey apart is that it was aged for a minimum of six years before embarking on a second maturation journey in Port, Sauternes, Sherry, or Rum barrels, lasting between two months and two years. Cigar Cut offers a tropical-tasting liquid with honey, spice, and pear aromas, while the palate delights in stone fruit, pear, vanilla, and honey notes.
