Revived Olympian Eyewear Styles

The Oakley OVERTHETOP Sunglasses Bring Back a Futuristic Design

The Oakley OVERTHETOP sunglasses have been brought back into the spotlight 20 years after they were first observed on the face of sprinter Ato Boldon of Trinidad and Tobago donned them at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics. The futuristic eyewear is characterized by its distinct, over-the-head frame design that keeps the accessory in place without coming into contact with the ears. The new version of the eyewear is named 'Precious Mettle' and features a gradient color that goes from aged gold to silver and bronze that calls to mind the Olympic awards.

The Oakley OVERTHETOP sunglasses are priced at $2,000 a pair and will be available exclusively at Oakley.com starting on Friday, August 7 at 9am PST.
