The O Campo photographic series provides a glimpse into the sports culture of Brazilian cities. The project was created by Joachim Schmid and captured with the use of satellite.
Although these soccer fields are not usable according to the official rules of FIFA, the desire to play clearly surpasses these regulations. The whole O Campo series consists of 16 images and is available in a book from Blurb.
O Campo is The Field when translated into English; although language and everything else clearly transcends past any limitations when it comes to the love of the game.
Implications - With so many new designs coming out each day, consumers are looking for ones they can relate to. Products featuring an familiar element are appealing to those who want a closer connection to the purchases they make. Developing more designs like this could help a company grow its brand even further.
