Designer Rodrigo Alonso's 'N + ew: No More Electronic Waste' project aims to make use of old electronics, from keyboards and disks to old modems and cables. He has created this incredible sculpture, installation and furniture piece concept, which turns a bunch of tech trash into a functional stool.
The 'N + ew: No More Electronic Waste' seat is composed of everything you can possible imagine when it comes to e-waste, including mice, circuit boards, computer parts and telephone cords, among other things. To create the stool, Alonso puts all of the waste into a rectangular mold that he fills with clear expoxy resin. After the resin hardens, he removes the mold, polishes the exterior and then adds cast aluminum to create the stool's legs. According to the designer's site, the stool is produced only in limited editions or based on specific orders.
