These nighttime jackets light up in order to allow anyone who's active at night to stay safe. German company Lunative has created a line of 'Electric Apparel' for fishermen, policemen and joggers alike. The intuitive clothing range includes battery-operated jackets and hoodies with a sleek and simple look.

The hoodies boast glowing zippers that circle the rim of the hood and are designed to delicately glow as opposed to shine directly into one's eyes. Their lustrous design not only maintains but also adds to the fashionable look of the jackets. The wearable technology can turn on and off with a small pocket battery pack and is both machine washable and bulletproof.

The luminous apparel is being promoted in Tromso, Norway -- the darkest city in Europe, where residents live in complete darkness for several weeks. These nighttime jackets are functional in more places than just the polar circle however. Electric Apparel is useful for people around the world who are up before dawn or after dusk and is ideal for those who prefer working out during late hours.
