As summer approaches, we start thinking about ways to stand out from the crowd, and innovative eyewear is at top of our list. Recent Middlesex graduate Nicola Kate Williams has heard our pleas, as her experimentation with sunglasses pushes the boundaries of contemporary eyewear.
Williams' leather, envelope-like sunglasses collection celebrates the versatility of leather, whilst promoting a dual functionality: the glasses are designed to be worn over the eyes or on the head.
Similarly, the designer's rose-tinted hair specs are created with the same purpose in mind. Executed in perspex in pink or gray, and printed with a delicate floral motif, Williams' designs represent innovative eyewear of the highest order.
