Virtual sneaker brand RTFKT and digital couture house THE FABRICANT collaborated on an exclusive seven-piece NFT collection that dropped on THE DEMATERIALISED's invite-only marketspace. The co-branded collection called RenaiXance introduces a complete look, called AUM, and it aims to "redefine the meaning of street-culture in the digital era."
The garments play with themes like fluidity and protection, as well as deconstruction. The design of the AUM outfit is completed by a pair of sneakers that explores the meeting place between ancient and future aesthetics.
The exclusive collection was made available for just 48 hours only and it speaks to the changing world of digital fashion, and the need to not only outfit oneself but also virtual avatars in the online space.
