The Newegg Facebook Messenger partnership is the first of its kind. Similar to all of the bots popping up across the World Wide Web and social media platforms, it allows Newegg to provide customer support through Facebook Messenger. Of course, this type of development shouldn't be too surprising since Facebook has been actively expanding Messenger, which now allows people to "order Lyft and Uber rides, get flight updates and boarding passes from KLM, and share Spotify playlists alongside nearly 50 other apps integrated with the platform," writes The Verge.
Yet the Newegg Facebook Messenger partnership is one of the first for retailers. Customers will be able to connect with a Newegg representative to talk about order status, returns, exchanges and any other issues by simply searching for the company within Messages.
