Whimsical Winter Village Attractions

The Newark Winter Village is Festive Entertainment Option

A coalition of Newark-based organizations, including the Newark Alliance and Invest Newark, is promoting the Newark Winter Village and other seasonal festivities, which are designed to attract residents and tourists to the city's central district from late November through early January.

The Newark Winter Village is an outdoor attraction at Mulberry Commons. The activation features an ice-skating rink, a marketplace for local vendors, and festive amenities such as private igloos and live musical performances. The broader 'Downtown Newark for the Holidays' program connects this central hub to a wider array of activities, including cultural events at venues like the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and Newark Symphony Hall, shopping promotions for small businesses, and community-focused celebrations such as a Kwanzaa festival.

The initiative emphasizes accessibility through a dedicated mobile pass for visitors and designates specific days with discounted admission for local residents.
