The Nationwide Building Society is trying to alter the public's perception of banks by re-designing its facility to appear more homey, comfortable and approachable.
The new community-focused space features an open concept design that's equipped with several mini offices in the shape of little houses. Each office serves as a more private meeting room, but lacks the usual dreariness and intimidation that these rooms can sometimes elicit. The design team behind this makeover, Dalziel & Pow, claim that the inspiration behind the new bank is "humanity, openness and connectivity" -- three values that banks are typically associated with.
