Purina, in its capacity as the first-ever Official Pet Care Partner of U.S. Soccer, has launched a summer programming initiative that includes the first-ever National Pet Kit and a national marketing campaign called 'For the Team Behind the Team.'

Available online, at PetSmart, and through the Official U.S. Soccer Store, the National Pet Kit is a pet jersey designed to mirror the official Stars jersey of the U.S. Men’s National Team. The design allows pet owners to dress their dogs or cats in a matching jersey that mirrors what human fans and players wear during matches.

The 'For the Team Behind the Team,' on the other hand, features player Weston McKennie and his two dogs. The brand identifies the athlete as "a Purina loyalist," noting he feeds his dogs Sky and Lola Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach dog food.
