This nail typography by Luke Wright uses 350 nails pushed into mounting board. The artist says that this is meant to mimic the way in which graves are sealed—a macabre choice for a font project.
This nail typography piece is inspired by a larger work called ‘Distinctively Odd,’ which according to Luke Wright is a collection of books formed around Bookseller Magazine’s annual contest to find the oddest title. I’d say ‘Reusing Old Graves’ is a worthy selection!
