American automaker Ford has announced the release of the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition, a stylish special edition model that draws inspiration from the old-school 1967 Shelby GT500.
The new Mustang is delivered in a retro-inspired Britanny blue paint job that matches the original 1967 model while donning two Wimbledon White racing stripe options -- vinyl or painted. Interestingly, only the painted option comes with side stripes. Adding a contemporary flair to the cosmetic overhaul, the Heritage Edition also adds Ford's 'Code Orange' color found on the 2021 F-150 Raptor to the car's color scheme.
In terms of mechanics, the vehicle remains the same as the original 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500, delivering a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 making 760 hp and 625 lb-ft of torque.
