The Dots Mushroom Lamp Design Creates a Surreal Environment

Created as a conceptual light source for urban parks, the Dots mushroom lamp design series was designed by Marianna Milione and Arianna Serrantoni.

With built-in sensors, these lamps light up as people pass by, creating a safer space in public parks at night so that the community can feel more comfortable walking through parks. This design also helps to conserve energy when no one is around. On the Behance design page, the Italian design duo describe their concept as "lighting for parks born from the union of natural with artificial, of morphological with functional," an artificial design inspired by nature and set to be located in a natural setting.
