Hefty Luxe Headphones

Final Design's Muramasa VIII is Carved Out of Stainless Steel

The luxury Muramasa VIII headphones cost $8,000. Instead of embracing the future of smaller, lighter and more portable technology, the Muramasa VIII headphones focus on the quality of materials used.

Created by Final Audio Design, Muramasa VIII is being touted as the first headphones carved out of stainless steel. No beating around the bush, the designers describe them as being "big, heavy and expensive." Nevertheless, they are equipped with 40mm drivers with an impedance of 16 ohms and a sound output level of 112 dB, all of which lead to great quality sound.

The Muramasa VIII headphones are set to be released this April.
