Vancouver-based illustrator and graphic designer Sebastian Curi explores color and the importance of the hug as "a gesture that everyone knows" in a whimsical mural design for Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires. The artwork covers the entrance of the cultural events center and embraces a loving embrace between a man and a woman in Sebastian Curi's signature style.
The request that spawned the mural design was to creatively explore "the mood of summer," whilst giving "a new look to the building." As the newly designed facade explores the human condition in respect to the rewarding experience of genuine connectives, the institute commissioned Sebastian Curi to also produce a small exhibition for one of the rooms that was in tune with the wonderful mural design.
