Design student Ashleigh Kennedy's 'Cilla' is a piece of multi-functional Millennial furniture that functions as a storage piece, a table, a laptop stand and a clothing drying rack.
The Cilla consists of a CNC routed pine bowl, bent steel legs and a sliding 3D-printed cover. The bowl sits perfectly on the legs of the table and can be lifted to move around the house. The bowl is comprised of three compartments that can be covered or revealed by the sliding cover. When the bowl is not placed on the legs, the steel legs can function as a clothing drying rack or be collapsed for more compact storage.
Multi-functional Millennial furniture piece allows young people living in smaller urban spaces to make the most of their money and space. Multipurpose furniture that looks great and works hard will be a better fit for future generations than options that take up a lot of precious space and perform limited functions.
