Inspired by Takashi Murakami's iconic smiling flower, Hublot created the playful MP-15 Takashi Murakami Only Watch Sapphire in the shape of a 12-petal daisy. This whimsical watch is an extremely limited-edition one with unique features, notably its never-been-done-before central tourbillon. Takashi Murakami explicitly requested the inclusion of a central tourbillon in this design and as the brand detailed in a press release, "This central tourbillon represents the fusion of art and horological design."
Hublot's very first central tourbillon is a technical and aesthetic feat, and it was made possible with elements that seem to be suspended mid-air with a pair of hands passing under the cage to indicate the hours and minutes. Like a real flower, this timepiece exudes beauty and color.
