Nintendo is Bringing 'Mother 3' to Switch Online in Japan

Nintendo has finally announced that Mother 3, the long-awaited third installment of the cult-classic RPG series, is coming to Nintendo Switch Online. The game, which was originally released in Japan in 2006 for the Game Boy Advance, follows the adventures of Lucas and his friends in a dystopian world threatened by a mysterious army. Mother 3 is widely regarded as one of the best RPGs of all time, with a rich story, memorable characters, and emotional impact.

However, Mother 3 will only be available on the Japanese version of Nintendo Switch Online, which requires a separate subscription from the international one. Nintendo has not confirmed whether the game will be localized for other regions, or if it will support English subtitles. The game will launch on February 28, 2024, as part of the Game Boy Advance library of Nintendo Switch Online. The subscription fee for the Japanese service is ¥550 per month, or ¥2,200 per year.
