Eclectic Textile Necklaces

While the Moldarina Talking About People collection has a grandmotherly essence, the pieces are completely contemporary. While the craft-like aesthetic speaks to the former, the eclectic use of various materials give the accessories the latter quality. As though a playful interpretation of patchwork creations, the jewelry pieces mix and match different fabrics as well as colorful beads, foam and stitching.

Created by Sónia Nunes, who hails from Portugal, the Moldarina Talking About People collection is made by hand and explores six themes such as "Life History," "Sense of Belonging" and "Couple, intimacy and birth." Nunes writes that the necklaces are "dedicated to people and their feelings, needs and aspirations." Colorful and chunky, each piece makes a statement as they complete either a casual or dressy outfit.
