COBE, a Danish architecture firm revealed a new concept for modular electric car charging. In collaboration with Clever, a company that specializes in solutions for electric car charging, the concept includes charging stations built in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
The stations will be made from wooden 'tree-like' structures, including branches that form a car-covering canopy, topped with solar panels that contribute to the station's charging power. The motivation behind this project is to be a 'green re-imagined conventional petrol station.' By including real trees, bushes and plants, these stations will create pleasant surroundings for drivers to wait in.
These new modular electric car charging stations will be made exclusively from eco-friendly materials, making the technology, architecture and energy all earth-friendly.
