The Miu Miu 2012 Collection Amps Up the Testosterone

The Miu Miu 2012 collection for fall/winter is an overall dark line-up of masculine looks. The collection features an abundance of tailored suits, jackets and dress shirts with accessories. Every look is coordinated in color and pattern. The suit jackets and pants are over-sized and the patterns are bold, yet muted. The dress shirts are buttoned to the top and an overall sense of propriety is palpable.

The colors running through the collection are dark and include burgundy, forest green, mustard yellow, a darker powder blue and some eggplant purples. The feel of the collection is heavy and the addition of ties, ascots and pocket squares attributed to the repetitive manly vibe.

Designer Miuccia Prada updated the female staples in the Miu Miu 2012 collection and brought female fashion into masculine territory.
