The OWOW Midi Controller Lets You Create Music On the Fly
Rahul Kalvapalle — June 15, 2015 — Tech
The scientists and audio geniuses at Omnipresent World of Wizkids (OWOW) have created a series of MIDI controllers and instruments that put musical creation into creators' hands like never before. These devices are designed to make digital music creation easier and more fun, without requiring users to use complex computer-based production suites.
The devices work in conjunction with MIDI software on USB-connected computers or laptops. Users can easily assign different sounds and effects to different components and MIDI controllers. Users can even use the 'scan' instrument, which can convert drawings, doodles and scribbles into music. As the device is moved across a piece of art, it creates sounds, with pitch effects being adjusted by pressing the up and down buttons.
The OWOW MIDI controllers haven't quite hit the market yet, but when they do they will surely appeal to next-generation musicians.
