Mega App Store Alternatives

Windows 'Avenue' Will Compete With Apple iTunes

Microsoft has jumped on the app bandwagon and created their own app store for which is known as Windows 'Avenue.' The use of apps and the number of apps available to consumers are growing each day.

Similar to the Apple app store, it’s an easy way to access many different programs to download directly onto your computer. All apps will vary from the categories and the price range. Like Apple, there are apps that will be free to the consumers and also specials on some apps that will have a price to pay. As a new creation, the store contains only a few apps, but that number will grow with time.

Implications - Even though Apple seems to have a stronghold on the app store market, there is still room for competition. This sentiment of the innovative underdog is prevalent within all industries.
