Wood Fiber Fruit Packaging

These Metsä Spring Muoto Punnet Products Come in Two Sizes

These new Metsä Spring Muoto punnet products have been added to the brand's Muoto Uncoated Fibre Series as some molded fiber packaging solutions that will prioritize sustainability.

The solutions come in two different size options suited for fruits, berries and vegetables to work well within the fresh product category. The packaging is made using renewable wood pulp that is fully recyclable and biodegradable. This material is used to achieve three-dimensional packaging styles without any intermediate steps to keep the carbon footprint low.

Product Manager Tarja Heikkilä spoke on the Metsä Spring Muoto punnet products saying, "We welcome packers to join our pre-commercial sales phase, test, and co-develop the right solution for their needs. Our Muoto punnets are durable, plastic-free, fully recyclable, and meet the strict requirements of the upcoming PPWR regulation. As the new legislation will most likely come into effect in 2030, this is the prime time to start testing other solutions for packing fresh products."
