Joel Blanco's 'Messless' Furniture Series is Designed to Encourage Mess

Joel Blanco designs the 'Messless' furniture range to bring chaotic aesthetics into a home environment. Blanco believes that people create a mess anyway, so his concept was to design something that made the mess intentional. The collection is comprised of two pieces in total, each one boasting a chunky foundation structure constructed from a hard foam -- there are a rectangular form and a square table structure. The foam is finished with an orange polyurethane rubber to create its bright exterior.

There are thinner pieces of the same structure intertwining within one another within the piece in what looks like a random order. These inner pieces are very malleable which makes it more suitable to hold objects such as clothing. The harder pieces that make up the frame is better used as a shelving system.
